Shelves for Boogertman

Boogertman and Partners is planning on putting up new shalves as part of their display wall as you walk into the office. What they currently have standing on display are many books and pamphlets about the large projects that they have done. These books sit on a table which standing infront of the wall with their company logo.

I was asked to come up with a couple of ideas fo a new display wall for their office.
I developed some sketchup perspectives of my ideas.

IDEA 1

My first idea was to create a shelf out the Boogertman and Partners symbol. Grey and orange are the colours for Boogertman (the wall is currently orange) thus not much would have to change except for adding the white shelf

IDEA 2

My second idea was to create a ceramic shelf in the shape of a city skyline. I though the city skyline would be an appropriate idea as Boogertman and Partners is a corporate architeccture firm that does maily large scale commercial buildings. The books resting on the shelf begin to look like buildings themselves, thus enhancing the idea of the shelf. The Boorgetman and Partners sign would be under the shelf against the wall. Unfortunately the images came out darker than expected so the sinage is not very visable.
