407 DISCHEM WAREHOUSE

Dichem warehouse recently installed a sprinkler system in the warehouse for the event of a possible fire. They then realized that the amount of water supplied by their municipal lines was not enough to feed these sprinklers. Now they are planning to build two small reservoirs on the outskirts of the site along with a pump house to provide a sufficient amount of water for the sprinkler system.
I was given the task of drawing up plans for the new reservoir on site as well as making various other additions and changes to the plans.
Another addition to the plans are two car ports that are to be built over the roller door delivery area.
Various other small changes have been made like the size of the fire escape door and the widening of the fire escape staircase.

428 WEMBLY HEALTH FACILITY

My boss was asked to draw up a proposal for a small eye hospital in Wembly Square. The Eye hospital would be on the first floor of the building.
Unfortunately after I drew up the plans on CAD, we realized that the ceiling height on the first floor of the building was not high enough according to hospital building regulations. The height of the theatre room was too low, therefore another floor in the building is planning to be used for the eyes hospital.

419 LANGEBAAN HOSPITAL

This is a project that I have been working on since I started at Fourie Architects. The plan is constantly changing which is why I have posted the previous layouts of the hospital. It looks like this is the final draft regarding the design as we have found a way to save a lot more money by excluding unnecessary facilities and space. We are still waiting to hear from the client if this design satifies him.

401 ALZEIMERS CENTRE

There is an old house in Murrey Street, Durbanville, that is to be converted into an Alzeimers centre. The garden is completely over grown and the house is standing open with many broken windows and doors.

Certain trees were selected to stay on the property and the rest to be removed. I was given the task of drawing up a plan of all the trees that are to be kept on site. This plan then goes to the landscaper who shall design the rest of the garden.
